VACL Library

The VACL Library is open for access to the public Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

The VACL Library is also a repository for Indigenous Communities to store a copy of their language material as a backup to their own copy. Manuscripts, microfilms, rare books and materials of cultural sensitivity may have access restrictions attached to viewing and copying. The depositor specifies these restrictions. Restrictions on rare books are in line with conservation and archival practice. Restrictions on culturally sensitive materials are made on the advice of the appropriate Indigenous communities or individuals. Material is not available for personal loan but most material can be photocopied at 5c per A4 sheet. If you wish to bring a group to visit the Library, please call to arrange a suitable time. This gives us time to locate materials that will be of interest to the group and to arrange for staff to be available during your visit.
