One of a four volume set of dictionaries of Victorian Aboriginal placenames covering Melbourne and Central Victoria, Gippsland and Northeast Victoria, Southwest Victoria and Northwest Victoria. These dictionaries are the product of extensive research by historical geographers Ian D. Clark and Toby Heydon. This involved comprehensive collaboration with academic and community based researchers, historians and linguists. 

Language groups: The Eastern Kulin-Wathaurong, Woiwurrung, Taungurung, Boonwurrung, Ngurai-illam Wurrung, Dja Dja Wurrung.
